Toni Gillen was inspired to become a nurse while working for a community-based organization that supported children with intellectual and physical disabilities; many of whom were Gillette patients. Twenty-five years later, Toni changed career paths and became a nurse. Her goal was “to not just be a nurse, but to be a Gillette Children’s nurse.” And she did just that.
“Our patients, as we all know, are some of the strongest people on this planet. I am daily amazed and inspired by them, their families, and their abilities to face the toughest obstacles. They constantly work to achieve the best quality of life available to them. I honestly love coming to work each day and feel blessed to have been given this opportunity.”
